Shawna fell in love with our parks shortly after moving to Elmhurst with her husband Brad.  With a newborn plus kids ages 2, 3, and 5, the many and varied parks around town provided an escape for little ones, at different developmental stages, to explore safely. 

While the Tot Lot has wonderful memories and Wilder Park is a close-to-home favorite, Golden Meadows Park remains a secret gem that’s openness and simplicity is welcome in a life that can oftentimes become crowded and complex.

Shawna is proud to be a member of the Elmhurst Parks Foundation Board of Trustees, and looks forward to expanding the reach of the EPF mission to further support special projects of the Elmhurst Park District.
