About The Foundation
The mission of the Elmhurst Parks Foundation is to provide opportunities and contribute financial resources to benefit and promote Elmhurst Park District programs and facilities, and enhance the recreational experiences for those who live and play in the community.
Much of what the District provides would not be possible with tax dollars alone. The support of private help and strong partnerships are essential to enhance our recreation and parks system. Join us today!
What We Support
-
Recreation Assistance
The Elmhurst Parks Foundation provides financial assistance for Elmhurst families in need so they can participate in District recreational programs. Families must apply for this assistance through the District’s registration department.
-
Wilder Mansion Preservation
This fund was made possible by an endowment from the Wilder family when the Wilder Mansion was renovated. Its purpose is to provide dedicated monies toward the continued historic preservation of Wilder Mansion.
-
Special Projects
The Elmhurst Parks Foundation has raised over $500,000 to help fund special projects for the Park District. Just a few of our most notable projects are Safety Town, the Playground for Everyone, & the Spring Road Gazebo.
